Last month I got to participate in the National Cyber League’s Spring Season with my fellow night owls in the Western Governors University Cyber Club. The event kicked off with the individual competition where we did many challenges that included Open Source Intelligence, Cryptography, Web Exploitation, Log Analysis, Password Cracking, Etc. I ended up placing in the top 5% of players. After we did the individual challenges we created teams based of each other’s skills to try and compensate for our weaknesses and strengths. After many hours and some sleep deprivation over the weekend we placed in the top 21% in the experienced students bracket. I am really proud of what we were able to accomplish as a team having known each other only a week prior to the competition. Hope I can participate in this year’s fall competition and perform even better! Below are some pictures with the coin I received and a detailed scouting report.
